Just noticed this: Lens hood won't go on straight.

Since the day i bought my camera, I've been noticing a slight vignette in the upper right hand corner of my shots. I remember seeing a thread on here a month or two ago about this and it said in there it was probably due to OIS being on. Well, it turns out it is because my lens hood isn't on my camera straight. No matter what I do, I can't get it right.

I align the little arrow on top the lens hood, and turn it clockwise until it stops. I would say it needs to go another 5 degrees or so until it's level, but it just won't go.

What's going on here?

Thanks.

When I first got mine I noticed the shade didn't look straight...

So using a "little" force, I turned it in the direction it needed to go and..."snap" it popped in place....there is a detent before it locks into position...

HTH,

Encountered the same problem here when I took the lens hood off to put on the UV filter. Took a bit of oomph to snap it back into place. I didn't have to He-man it but it took some effort and some restraint from me accidently breaking something.

even when mine is snapped on properly, i still notice some vignetting in the corners, i can notice it because of the OIS and the vig shakes...

mine goes on but not entirely straight, i'm afraid that it's on the whole way and if i twist too much i'll break something.
