The Echo Game - feature filmmaking at new car prices

Where are you? I've always found it's MUCH easier to get access to anything you could possibly want outside of L.A. Most local governments are very friendly to filmmakers.

Just moved to Colorado Springs, CO from Nowhere, AL :)

I'd love access to a hospital set of some kind for an idea I've been tossing around for a while, which is what prompted my original question to you... The hospital set that you had...

later,
Jason

Call around. I pretty much guarantee you there's a decommissioned or underused hospital somewhere near you that you can shoot in. Or try private medical clinics. I have friends who shot their feature in an incredible location, a recently abandoned high school in Kansas. It was free to them. The local location staff also offered them up hospitals and anything else they could have wanted. I've never tried to film anything in Colorado, but most states have a film commission that is very happy to work with you, and most business owners can be convinced.

A very convincing trailer Doug. Great performances and great camerawork. Maybe the middle part of the trailer was a little less dramatic than it could have been, but overall it makes me want to see the film.

8-hour session today. Color timing is now DONE. And my eyes burn.

If I ever do another feature, I'm getting a control surface.

Very very nice ..... and being Italian I know about Dario Argento ;) I went to school with one of his daughters (Fiore) ;)

Hey, nice trailer!

Is Ruth Wilson from the BBC's Jayne Eyre in the movie? If it's not, it looks like her!

Nope, no Ruth Wilson.

But I'm glad you like the trailer! You can't buy DVDs because we don't have a distributor yet. And we don't have a distributor yet because the movie isn't finished! Once we solve those two problems, you'll be able to view all the DVDs you want! (assuming they're DVDs of The Echo Game)

Doug,

I just watched the trailer, nicely done! Good production value, good music, and the performances look good. I think the trailer was well cut and very compelling, again, nicely done!

Chris

Thanks Chris. Brian's cut quite a few trailers in his day, and while it is a bit harder when you're this close to the material, we all think he did a fine job on this one as well. It's making the rounds now to cast, crew, and other contacts we have.

In other news, we got the first bit of score back from our composer, Austin Wintory, today. I won't post anything here until it's Brian-approved but in short we're all very impressed. Moody, suspenseful stuff.
