First feature from Dangerous Derk Productions

This thread is going to be the DVXuser production diary for our upcoming feature.

The working title is "Minus Light" however that may change.

I can't tell you too much about it as it's in very early stages, just planning the film then gonna start on the script.

HOWEVER, we have someone on board to do the creature effects who has worked on features like The Descent, V for Vendetta, Casino Royale, The Zombie Diaries & Harry Potter 5.

As you might guess, we are really excited about this and can't wait to get started shooting.

We are currently planning on shooting the first part of the film as soon as the script is ready as these are interior scenes. We hope to shoot the last part of the film once the warmer weather kicks in, so we're looking at June to film the final half of the film.

OK, some more details for you.

Our guy in charge of creature creation is Mike Peel. He's sent us some rough sketches this morning of the "Aliens", a few more modifications and we'll be ready to roll.

He's also filming the entire creation process for us so we can make a featurette on the dvd.

Here's an update:

Last night we sat for a few hours discussing the finer details of the film, and writing a breakdown of each scene in the film.

Overall 39 scenes were written and discussed. Now all we have to do is write the script!

Long nights and lots of coffee await!

First snag!

After working with Mike for several days, it became apparent that his skills were gonna cost us more than we have, so unfortunately we could not continue.

We have had a great response to our advert and i've emailed all the other applicants telling them of the position once again being vacant.

Hopefully we'll get someone else on board and we can begin the creation process.
