I'm a huge Back to the Future fan.

Does anyone know what sort of JVC camcorder Marty had in Part 1?

I don't know, but if you're a fan you'll like this--

I don't know the model name, but it recorded to VHS-c tapes - (compact VHS tapes that had to be placed inside a special full-sized VHS 'adapter' tape for playback on a standard VHS deck).

i believe it was only referred to as a "portable video unit" by Doc ...im still asking myself "what the hell is a Jigawatt"

wow Terry, that digicamhistory link is awesome thanks...great look back

the Konica pistol-grip blew me away...had no idea things like that were happening in the mid 80s. screw the video-phone...those things still suck.

Use to use these in College video class. LOL. I feel old.

Wow do I feel old. I was a video manager at Circuit City back in the 80s, my sales reps used to sell those. Whoa, major flashback.

I remember walking by Sears and seeing digital camcorders in the window. The one's that pixelated when they zoomed and did effects. Before firewire and even Final Cut. I made fun of them and figured "Who cares. That's not high quality like Hi-8 or SVHS." Didn't SVHS need an adapter too? LOL.
