If you're using FCP, which I assume you're using, I wouldn't even mess with AIC.

My experience with just using the Main Concept AVCHD to DVCProHD transcoder is you need to count on eating up to 1GB/Minute. So 1 hour = about 60GB's. That's about 16+ projects per 1TB drive.
But there is more to life than file size....or, so I am told.

Why would this be? Isn't it made by apple? I've never tried, but I've heard good things about it...

So, AIC or ProRes? must be some differences in between otherwise, just shown 1 preset either ProRes or AIC , that's enough...strange!!! hope some might able to answer it..

2ndly, Why AVCHD convert to DVCProHD is the Main Concept? mind to give more explaination on that issue?
