Music Video

This weekend, I'll be on set for a music video shoot with the band "West Coast Revival" http://www.westcoastrevival.com/

We'll be shooting performance's of two songs that are in "No Greater Love" which we'll then inter-cut with footage from the film. I'll be sure to post some BTS pics and maybe some video if I can.

We're shooting on the HPX-500.

Check out one of the untouched screen-shots below.

We shot with the HPX-500 this weekend.

Dave Salle shot and directed the two videos, I'll be cutting them.

Hey Brandon,

Can't wait for the release of NGL! This may already have been asked (I haven't had time yet to look through the previous pages), but are you guys shooting for theatrical?

Are the songs from West Coast Revival original, or did they license them to Coram Deo for the film?

By the way, nice look with the poster. It will definitely put it ahead of the pack. :)

Will continue praying for you and the team. :D

Hey Eric! Thanks for checking in, and for your questions!

That is still very much up in the air. As you may know, last year's FIREPROOF was a huge hit theatrically, but theatrical cost a LOT of money in terms of marketing, etc. More to come soon I hope!

The song's we're using were previously recorded by the band, and we're just licensing them to use for the film. We've developed a great relationship with the guys, and hope to work with them on more in the future!

Ah, right. You have a point about costs; things are getting a bit top-dollar these days. ;) Well, if you guys decide against theatrical, I'll be waiting for the DVD! :D

That's cool about the band. Are they a local group? West Coast Revival sounds California-ish. :P

Wow, 902 members is pretty darn good - as if even half of these passed on word to one person suddenly you've got a hell of a fanbase.

As of today our facebook group has 902 members, and we've had over 650 sign ups for updates on our website... the increase has been steady over the past few weeks...

The point is, the internet is a powerful tool... and we hope to use this in the coming months in an even bigger way.

Thanks Eric!

Yeah, WCR hails from Pasadena, CA. I'll post up a snippet of the two songs that we've used in the film, and that we're doing music videos for.

Yeah, and since then the group has expanded to about 1600 people, and it's continuing to grow!

We have some interesting ideas for the marketing of this film, which hopefully I'll be able to share in detail in the future :D

It's very encouraging that you've been able to promote the movie on the website using the music videos!

One thousand fans are going to make your job of marketing the movie much easier.

Wishing you guys the best of success. It really couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of guys -- and I hardly know you guys too. LOL

No -- the movie is really great. I love the fact that you have an inspirational upbeat movie that's about to go out and do some good business. It's really more than encouraging to me; it's heartwarming.

Congratulations~

Final.... Finally.

Final.... Finally.

Yep... this coming week we're finally finishing the final film :)

After our focus groups in December, we made some minor changes to the edit of the film, and this coming week it all comes together.

We'll be doing our final color correction and sound mix at Kappa Studios in Burbank. I can't wait to see and hear this thing in all it's glory!

Stay tuned!

This just keeps looking better and better. I have no doubt it will find its audience.

We're all extremely proud of what you and the rest of the crew have put together, Brandon. Can't wait to see the results of all your hard work.

Thanks man! I appreciate the encouragement!

This afternoon we're going to have final delivery of the score of the film! We begin mixing and editing the score and sound tomorrow at Kappa!

Post Update...

Post Update...

Yesterday (Monday) I was down at Kappa working with Beto (our sound mixer/designer) on getting the music cues into the film.

Today (Tuesday) Brad and I both went down to Kappa and we began the final sound mix. We got through about an hour of the film, and will finish up tomorrow!

Final Sound Mix - COMPLETE

Final Sound Mix - COMPLETE

Today we printed out the final master sound mix for NGL! It was a great accomplishment for sure! We're very pleased with how it sounds... Michelle's score, and the new sound design really takes this film to another level!

That's great news Brandon! Good old Barry has taught us that sound is 70% of what you see... Can't wait to see the final film! Keep us posted...
