THE THINGS WE CARRY - Geoff Reisner

hmmmmmmmmm I dont see the first one, but the second one looks awesome. I love that look in his eyes - just screams determination.

One more...

I like this color treatment much better. The other one is too blue, it looks like crap.

Nice! Can't see the first one though. Did you take it down?

Looking good.

Awesome to see another Geoff_R project in the mix ... Def looking forward to this!

As has been stated many times now, I love the poster!

And, I also agree, this blue/purple color treatment is no good. The other, however, is beautiful!

Good luck man

So my cut is running a little long... I'm faced with either trimming to six and condensing or letting it play out as is. I hate releasing two versions of a film, it's something I'll never do again since I did it once with a short and it still bugs me to this day. It ruins it for me. If I ever did a feature and some studio or producer made changes, I would not release a directors cut. That notion of two versions floating around irks me incredibly. It's the same with deleted scenes... I'll never release those either. Once it's locked, it's locked forever and never changes.

I'm going to spend the day tweaking and seeing what I can shave off naturally and if I can get it real close to the time limit, I'll see what I can do... otherwise looks like this may end up as a non-compete. That's fine by me. It's more fun to compete, but the real magic is in making the film in general. It's engaging to be a part of the fest, in whatever role I might play, whether it's directing my own film or shooting for a friend. The only problem with non-competes is getting people to watch the film :)

hmmmm... I shall take Matty's eyes....

But yes! I will contact you shortly via intergalactic text messaging...

After seeing what you've done here, I dont know there'll be much trouble getting people to watch this, compete or not. Definitely like the non-blue CC better - looks great. Keep up the good work!

Having the same issues and we haven't even started cutting. But I already know it will come out long. Will have to see...this may be turning into a slightly larger thing than intended, so...I may wind up having to decide on priorities for it...

Meaning, you may enter as non-compete or chop the film down some to the extent of removing scenes?
