EVERYTHING'S EVENTUAL: A Stephen King short story adaptation (Production Diary)

30 June UPDATE:

Teaser Trailer!

Screen Grabs, Baby...

Mister Sharpton, ever the beguiling smoothie, "recruits" Dinky Earnshaw into the dark, enigmatical world of TRANSCORP...

Ah, Skipper...as baffling as he is nefarious. Will he push Dinky to his breaking point? Will he act as the catalyst Dinky needs to finally test his "gift"? Stay tuned, as all questions will be answered...eventually.

1236991940.jpg

During the first (but truly not the last) flashback, a young Dinky Earnshaw politely asks some flies to "buzz off" - in not so many words. We utilized a flashback-driven narrative style greatly influenced by Forrest Gump.

Jesus Christ! I have heard "the camera really likes her" many times before...but the camera absolutely poo pooing adored and canonized our "FINDER" character, played by the inexplicably beautiful model/actress Lauren Alonzo.

More Screen Grabs...

We learned right away not to "think small" on this production...but even our grandest of expectations were exceeded by the 100+ extras who showed up at Scottsdale Airport for a crucial scene!!

Though technically not part of this particular story, we took the liberty of bringing in King's infamous "LOW MEN" to our version (for a cameo). The temptation to do so, for a couple of überfans like us, was too strong to abstain from...

The ASU campus was a marvelous location. It served as double to no less than four completely different set-ups/scenes including the exhilarating "Library Chase" scene and the pivotal "Newspaper Stand" sequence (pictured above).

1237411222.jpg

"Pranksters 2" was a great little dive bar (my kinda place) and acted as the perfect backdrop for estranged chums Dinky and Pug to get reacquainted. Arizona-based band "Waking Avalon" was featured as...well...the band. If you look in the far background (blue shirt, under the LP's) you'll see the writer putting in a little extra work...

Key Grip Rich Anderson was a little too convincing as a strung out "Daywalker". In between shots, this cat asked passerby’s for handouts. All said and done, I think he cleared fifteen some odd bucks or so...

Agreed. Are all of the short stories being done?

It'll be an interesting time to see a visual representation of RIDING THE BULLET. That was probably my second favorite outside of Everything's Eventual.

Is it just EE? That'd be awesome, too. That story stuck with me for quite some time.

We are making Everything's Eventual itself...which is especially cool IMO considering the direct tie-in with the epic Dark Tower series (it directly ties-in, mind you - it's not loosely connected like some other King tales).

Holy shi* dude! Congrats! This is awesome.
I know, my man...I'm plotzing over this baby!

Edit:

I want to post more ASAP, but
I am waiting for clearance due to the nature of the project.

From the Director

From the Director

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am J.P. Scott the director/producer of Everything's Eventual. As mentioned we are only a week away from production (6 days in fact) and things are getting exciting. We have been working on this project, Chad and I, for quite some time and we have watched it grow and grow into what it is now. I will, along with Chad, be posting my own comments and updates as the project moves forward. I appreciate all of your excitement and I am looking forward to future posts and updates.

J.P.

Sounds interesting. I loved Callaghan's last scriptfest entry, so I'm curious to see what he does with the King's material.
