That's what I figured. I remember stumbling across some patents at one point that got into some detail, but were difficult to read. I understand the point of media standards, but it is too bad all the players can't simply play any compatible stream file connected to the device... really, that is the main point of the player in the first place. It is a lot easier to find than decoding a stream.
 
No hurry, Just checking on the status of the utility program. Have you gotten a chance to write it yet?

I started working on it and made quite some progress. Unfortunately work keeps me pretty busy currently so it will take a few more days.
