Now I have my college's Letus Ultimate I am going to rent, along with my own EOS mount, one that I can use all my olympus and nikon lenses on through adapters...

I can't wait

Lol this thread is insane, its like car modding pics but for cameras lol, since I havnt got my adapter yet waiting for blade, to start modding my xh-a1 I cant really show any pics. But Im hoping to style it exactly the same way as I have modded my car, so heres a pic of my car and that kinda gives you an idea of what My cam setup should look like once all the bells and whistles are fitted on lol...

Anyone know where I can get a spoiler for the xh-a1 or sequential gear box for the lens lol.. JK

wow Jay, what do you do for a living?

teach thai boxing bud, getting into the film scene, but know that no matter what rig I have it still wont buy me experience like you guys have, so bare with me if I ask lots of stupid questions :dankk2:

How do you like the Manhattan Monitor?

It's worked great so far. Color is fairly accurate and setting focus has never been easier. Plus it is very light. No other monitor of that size would ever attach to my camera's hot shoe.

How are you powering your monitor, is it hooked up to the wall via the 12v DC, or are you using an external battery?

thanks

When I'm in the studio or doing a stationary shot and have power run to my camera, I use a 12v DC adapter. When I'm mobile, I use a Tekkeon MP3450 battery.

I have a monitor mount on my Redrock Micro handle grips. It screws into the base of the monitor so when I'm going mobile, I move the monitor to the front of the rig. You can see some more closeups on my blog: http://nextwaveg.blogspot.com/

that rig is sick man, i bet you have a lot of fun. Tell me when you have some footage from that video all cut, i'd like to see it!

I have the 8.9" version of the Manhattan monitor and I put velcro on the back of the monitor and my tekkeon battery. It works very good and I can still mount the monitor on a noga, it's very a very light setup.

Thanks DM, i really wanted to get that exact setup, but it was a choce between BladeFlip module or the monitor.

i just chose the one that didn't require me to flip the image in post. Just one less thing to worry about i guess. How do you like the 8.6? how does it compare to that marshall i've seen in some of your BTS photos?

dwilliam that looks like a cool scene haha, any footage?

Here's a frame grab from the shoot:

It turned out pretty good, but I still have some calibration to do on the rig.
