Actual Rental Rates on the HPX500

Hey All,

I'm wondering what kind of rates HPX500 owners are getting for rentals to clients. I know most rental houses have them going out for around 600 with HD lens, 4 16gig cards, and sticks. Now, when I throw those numbers at clients in the know, there have been a few times where they said, "hmm, maybe we'll just stick with the HDX900 at $750" and then I end up letting the HPX go out at a lower number with the SD lens, just to keep it rented. Anyone else running into that?

$600.00/day is the rate as well here in DC.

If they want it for less then they can go somewhere else.

We will rent our package out for $500, that's with a follow focus and mat box. You have to be pretty competitive here in LA.

If anyone in the UK wants to rent mine you can have it with a selection of lenses including a digi prime kit, plus a lighting and sound kit from as little as £250 per day.

Those are my rates in LA. Renters can add other items - matte box, ff, ND's, monitor, dolly, lights - as extras.

Finally something that's cheaper here I Norway... 600/day and you get a proper Hpx3000 setup.rogar-BigGrin(DBG) Hpx500 with proper setup runs at about 350 a day.

Between $600-$800 here in Boston. Depends on accessories/monitor....not too much demand....but we're not a rental house...
