New Political Film (TRAILER) - Shot on DVX100

man that looks reallly sweet.

i wanna watch the whole thing now :)

only problem i saw was that in some of the clips put into the trailer, the aspect ratio was effed up. Is it that was in the full movie?

and i have to say, the fact that it was done on a dvx100 is really sweet.

- Thanks,, the ratio is like that based only during the media scenes, we decided to bring the ratio down on those parts as well as the opening of the film and trailer - portraying past to present opposed to doing the old B/W bit. - It is quite easier to deal with on an actual widescreen tv/monitor (in full) opposed to the 4:3 viral option.

The film will be released extremely soon online (prior to Jan 20th) is what we are looking at.

Very nice work. Actually- exceptional.

(dunno, something about me especially likes the parts where some asshat tells you 'no cameras'- challenge authority man!)

Clean and does everything you want it to.
Well done.
Hope you get a grand slam with it.

You think anybody here gets your nom de plume?

OK . . .

Because this is really good, and people will want to discuss the film aspects of it, we'll let this one roll . . .

But please do check out our posting guidelines (at the top of every forum) and the 8 Ps in the very top "DVXuser News" forum -- we have a rule against posting politics.

Thanks for letting this one go, this film is extremely by-partisan, as I have just posted this trailer specifically for technical purposes - the story is conservative as can be and 100% non-controversial.

But again, much appreciated David.

Can i ask why the people were telling you not to bring in cameras? where exactly were you trying to get into lol

Well, I do not want to give to much away, but I started out producing a political film for Hillary's Campaign, and with everything going on, it was next to impossible to get the film sent and viewed directly by the campaign (at the time). So at that moment Hillary Clinton was having a private event downtown Miami Beach, at a bowling alley. I had one copy of the ad on DVD, and thought if she was here in town, this might be a great chance to meet with her and give it to her personally.

So at that moment I am trying to get in the private event at the bowling alley in Miami Beach and hope to get Hillary to personally view the film. - What happens next and the events surrounding just that scene are pretty intense - but cant give too much away.

you will be getting my money :)

how much is it going to cost?

It's not being discussed here for its political perspective.
He shot it on a DVX100.
I'm anxious to see it, and hear his comments about making it in an ongoing discussion.

Maybe it should be moved into the DVX100>screen grabs / clips of DVX footage?

Thanks for the heads up on stickies and rules though.

Definitely want to check that out! Is the song towards the end a track from the Transformers score? I love that song.

You live in Miami Beach too? What area?

bought it a few minutes ago :)

edit: man you messed up the aspect ratios on the film soooo bad especially in the beginning

alright well i just watched the whole thing and it was generally well made, but there were a few things that definately need to be fixed. First, the aspect ratio problems. Pick one and stick with it. Don't have every shot in a different aspect ratio. Second, the actors kinda need to get a little better :P

But I liked the image you got from the dvx100 there, but some shots were over exposed.

Good job though.
