phantom power and the countryman b6

i'm mildly confused about something, searched and searched, and would appreciate a little clarification...

so if the countryman b6 requires phantom power...
...and if i recall correctly, the Sennheiser EW112 G2 transmitter does not have phantom power...
...how is it that i can get the countryman b6 to work on it?

(this is assuming, of course, that i'm not construing everything wrong [which i most likely am]).

thanks.

My Countryman hooks right to my Senn. G2 and powers right up. No fuss. Not sure where you are getting your info.

It's the plug-on XLR transmitter in the G2 100-series that does not provide phantom, but does on the 500-series. That transmitter is used for shotguns and hand-held mics.

For the B6 lav, you need only to have it terminated with the 1/8" connector for the G2 body-pack transmitter and you'll have no troubles.
