Hi Wayne sorry if this has been answered before, I ordered both the razor 1 and the razor 2 with mine, which one will the unit already be fitted with and how easy is it to switch them over.

Hi Jay,

ROTOrazor 1 will be installed in the unit. It is very easy to switch, instructions are provide in the SGblade manual and also on the back of the ROTOrazor packaging.
 
Yup, can't wait. Have a new short that starts filming in Feb that's got SGBlade written all over it...

I will be very interested in hearing the first owners opinions.
In paticular on grain with low contrast backgrounds (in my opinion the shortfall of 35mm adapters).
 
Woohoo! I got an email from Shoot35 that my SGBlade is being dispatched! Not sure how long it will take to get to the US from the UK, but I hope to be posting footage soon! :):thumbup::beer:
 
i got email also today, saying it will ship 6th of february, even tracking number was included already, nice! so on 9th i should have it in my hands...
 
i got a post office notice a few days ago.... i wonder if its my BLADE?

Wayne would have sent me a email saying he sent it though....
 
It hurts to know I will be shooting a teaser at the end of Feburary up in the Fargo MN area with the original SGpro, not cause it isn't amazing, but because what we need is the new gg and its speed... I have some night exterior wides of a bar I want to get from a crane and it would be perfect to e able to swap or just shoot the whole thing with the new GG

I need more MONEY! :)
 
It looks like (whenever it starts shipping) there will be somewhat of a competitor with the M2 Encore... it seems it is going to be a bit more money and they are promising the moon and the stars, but no footage. Sounds like there won't be much it could improve on the Blade however, so the Blade may very well remain the best option for most within the second generation.
