So, this week, we were hired by John Ziegler to film Sarah Palin. It was interesting as we got there at 9:00 and he wanted us to start shooting at 10 but instead got the interview going at 9:30. So... 2 cams and lights, clean up background, etc in about 30 minutes. You can see us adjusting lighting and audio as the interview progresses, but all in all it turned out pretty good and is one of youtubes biggest videos this week.

I'm not doing any editing, was just hired to do the shooting. Unfortunately, because we were so rushed I didn't get a chance to do any real "modeling" light but basically had to light pretty flat with a couple of softboxes. Looks like news though!

While this video has stirred up quite a bit of controversy, it's fun to have actually been there and hear exactly what was said both on camera and off.

It was the first time I'd been in Palin's house and it is pretty unassuming. We had to clean her kid's class pictures and crayon drawings off of the media center. I'd met Palin quite a few times and she still remembered me.

Cool, man. I saw a bit of that the other day on one of the news networks... Had no idea it was a dvxuser behind the camera....

Later,
