Missing a part or accessory to your DVX100?

Just a little alert for people who shove the lens cover in the back of their pants and lose it...$42 for that exceptionally well made piece of plastic. Petrolem jelly is extra.
 
I've lost the plastic covers for the xlr audio jacks. Do people actually use them? or do they just come w/new cameras and meant to be thrown away?

They are meant to protect the XLR jacks. Most often they are lost. They are $12.08 each and we have them in stock.

It looks like we are very close to you Chris. We are located just outside of Frederick MD.

Hi, this message is for Andrew Hoffman. Andrew, I work for The Center for Film Studies at a local university and we own 3 HVXs. The problem is that students keep loosing the accessories like lens caps, XLR covers and power cords. My question is, do you supply these accessories?

Yes. We can supply them. Keep in mind that parts for the HVX200 have been hard to get over-all. Which Power Cord do you need? The one from the Camera to the AC adapter, or the one from the AC adapter to the wall?

Tripod Mount Hole

I have a broken tripod mount hole. It just pushes back into the camera when I try to screw a baseplate in. Will a replacement mount hole work? IF so, how much for it? I want one!

HVX parts discontinued?

I lost the plastic/rubber cover on the HVX that protects the sd card slot and iris/zoom remote inputs.

I called Panasonic. After getting 5 different phone numbers, broken promises of calls back, and generally HORRIBLE customer service, I finally found someone who could give me the part number.

I then called back the "ordering department" to find out that this part is no longer being made. Did they stop making the HVX? If not, how can they quit making parts for current models?

Panasonic has proved to be a HUGE disappointment and I feel they treat their customers very poorly.


Bitching over, does anyone know where I can find this cover, part number VJF1541.

An internet search pulled up 2 different companies with this part listed, but both have since informed me that they are "out of stock". Since Panasonic is no longer making them, I assume they will not be getting any more in.

I am in search of the plastic piece that goes over the Dv in/out ports and RCA connectors that are right above the XLR covers. I am also in need of a lens cap as well as I guess the lens shield? By lens shield I mean the piece that goes over the actual lens and has a rectange cut out in it and says leika and the thread count etc.

If anyone can help it will be very appreciated

Do I even want to know how much the Zoom Ring Pin/Screw will run me?

Is it a standard screw size or proprietary?
