Is it possible to use the Redrock 55mm on a 72mm thread like the DVX? I mean I saw the step up ring but will this have bad CA and edge sharpness?

Yes, you can use the 55mm on the DVX with step up/down rings. It was the achromat that Red Rock sold with their SD package. They came out with the HD achromat later for HD cams. I used the 55mm achromat with my DIY adapter for all of the shorts on this page of my site. There are a couple of places that I spotted edge blurring, but I tend to think that it was from the focusing screen in my adapter being out of alignment a hair. The Perct Crime has some straight DVX footage mixed in as well.

I have no use for the 55, so I would be willing to let it go for less... $50 maybe?
