Best exhibition format for the HVX200

Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I searched for a while and couldn't find an answer or a place to post the question.

My latest film "billy was a deaf kid" has been accepted into Cinequest and I'm now trying to decide what exhibition format best fits my budget while keeping the best quality.

The film was shot with the HVX200 in 720PN.

The formats they are excepting are:

35mm
HDcam
DVcam
Beta SP
Digital Beta

35mm is too expensive for me so I'm left with the other options.

Could someone put them in order from best to worse quality?

Is HDcam the only one that is HD?

thanks for the help!

Yes, HDCAM is the only remaining HD option. Don't down convert to any of the other options. Go with the highest quality possible that you can afford which appears to be HDCAM.

I'm worried HDcam might be little too spendy for me. My friends just paid $750 for their film for HDcam.

Is that a fair price for a 90 min movie?

thanks!

ps...are the remaining formats all about the same quality?

$750 seems too high. if they are just dumping the footage for you and not doing any correcting or anything else it shouldn't be more than $200 including the tape - or you can just go rent an HDcam deck and do the transfer yourself.

HDCAM is the way to go. And yes, it can be had for half that price. $350-$450 is the average...in Los Angeles. I guess it depends on the market. If you have one or two places in town that do it, you are in a bind. But if you have options like we do in LA, competition comes into play.
