Best Tape Stock for DVX-100B

I just purchased a DVX-100B from Ebay. What is the best videotape to use with this camera?

I it a new camera? If yes then use Panasonic AY-DVM63AMQ. IF not find out what was used in it before you bought it. Mixing wet and dry lube tape is not a good thing for the camera.THe Panasonic above is a great tape, always used it in mine and never had a problem.ALso do a search here and you will find countless posts on this subject.
 
u can also try panasonics PQ's. however based on the reading i have done here it most tapes will do...just don't change brand's or change from wet to dry lube(or vise versa) .If u do either then use a tape cleaner b4 using the other brand.
 
Yes jambredz is correct in never mixing Panny tapestock with any other but I have always used Sony HDM-63VG with great results since most of my clients provide the stock. Good luck.
 
Yes, Panasonic AY-DVM63AMQ are the bests.

I don't think that they are discontinued because they are the most recent ones. The AY-DVM63MQ (Master quality instead of Advanced Master Quality) are discontinued.

Me, I get them for about $6 Canadians.

Where? i'd love to get em for that price. i'm in mississauga
 
When the MQs were discontinued, I switched to the PQs. They're great. I've had zero problems.

Stick to the 63 minute tapes, though. The 83 minute tapes have thinner tape that can jam easier.

I've been using Panny AY-DVM63PQ...never had a problem...very nice.
