WCV-82SC WA Converter on HVX-200?

[Nick Walters]

I was wondering if anyone has used these together, has access to test them, or knows of this combo being used. If it's a decent combo I may get one of the WCV-82SC's for my HVX-200 as it costs about half as much as comparable zoom through Wide Angles.

It doesn't fit. The lens on the camera is convex, as is the converter. The glass of one will hit the glass of the other before the screw on threads meet. There might be an 82mm barrel out there but I don't know what that would look like as a part number nor as an image. You stand the risk of vingetting when wide.
