Totally Usable
Okay, so I thought I was going to keep my trusty HVX200, so I sent it off to the wonderful folks at SpecComm for cleaning/servicing. By the time I got it back, I realized that my HPX170 is enough camera for me. So, I'm offering it up to my DVX brothers and sisters.
Here's what it comes with…
- HVX200 (476 operating hours / Few, if any, hours on the tape heads)
- Battery
- Battery Charger
- Direct "Power Plate" Thingy
- Panasonic Strap
- Microphone Mount
- Manual (Could only find the Japanese one, for some reason)
- Barry's HVX Book (Smells strangely like Drew Ott's cologne)
- Remote Control
- Original Box
- 82mm Circular Polarizer and UV Filters
Here's what it doesn't come with…
- P2 Cards (Buy the size you want elsewhere)
- Playback Cable (You know the one Panasonic bundles with the camera accesories)
- XLR Covers (Little plastic things that are just too easy to lose)
I've used this camera to shoot a nature/fishing documentary and two web series about fishing. All functions work perfectly, and though the camera does have its share of scratches and marks, the lens is clean and clear.
By the way, SpecComm did a complete cleaning and servicing, including the lens assembly. They also updated to the latest firmware, checked the lens alignment and did a full operations check.
Any number of DVX users who've bought from me lately can tell you that I'm legit.
The price is $2750 (plus PayPal fees, if desired), and I'll cover shipping via FedEx.
