New Ultimate Frisbee on Vimeo

Thanks for the reply.
Sorry for the color it was rainy that day and their was a lot of humidity in the air. I kept getting spots on my lens, in some scenes you can see it, I tried to conceal the spots by making the footage darker.

thumbs down for sideways compression of aspect ratio.

what do you mean??

I tried getting it to fill the whole screen. What did I do wrong?

well the video should be filling the whole vimeo video frame if you shot it in 16:9 widescreen

What i think the problem was, was that you didn't set your editing program's project settings to 16:9 and you edited in a 4:3 frame maybe?

Sorry, just trying to help with some constructive critiscism.

Also, consider getting some more lighting for the player interviews. Will really improve the look.

edit: One thing i liked though was how the darkness didn't seem to have any noise/grainyness to it. What settings are your gain on? My dvx100 puts noise on random stuff that is well lit sometimes.

Yeah I shot squeeze. Edited in Premiere Pro CS3 on a 16:9 widescreen timeline, but yet I still get letterboxed.

No it's cool I hate having leterbox on my videos I wish I could get the settings right all the time.

Yeah I was just kinda of shooting on the go all I brought was my camera, diy fig rig, and a tripod to shoot that game.

I use a 16mm film look so I can have some room to work in post.

settings are

detail level -4
v detail level 0
detail coring 0
chroma level -3
chroma phase 0
color temp 0
master ped -6
a.iris level -3

gamma - cine like
matrix - cine like
skin tone dtl off

v detail freq - thin
progressive - 24p (adv)

When I film right after it has just rained the footage always looks clear I don't know why though.

are you on the F5 or the F6 setting on the jog wheel on the camera?

I'm wondering if the 24p (adv) means 24pA because if it does, that means i've always been shooting in 24pA even on f5 (which is supposed to be 24p regular)

but thats still fine

LOL now its too stretched :P see how theres black bars on top and bottom of the youtube one? yea you wanna stretch it vertically to fit the youtube player then you know its 16:9 :)

Dammit!!!
On Vimeo is it good?

I have no idea how to get it perfect lol.
