Jumper 2 (the movie)

jumping effect was done pretty well. Other than that it looked very amateur. and the first fart was pretty funny. I got kind of bored with it after that. He could have done much more funny stuff than just fart. And the acting was not good either. The black dude was not too bad though. But kudos on the effects. It was just a fun video done with friends which I understand, but you wanted a little feedback so there ya go. keep having fun.
 
I watched it without sound, but from the visuals that looked pretty funny. I love parodies. I actually just watched this movie the other day for the first time and this is a case where the parody is better than the real movie.

Also, you guys looked like you had fun making it.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't mean to "beg" for feedback. I shot this with a digital camera with my wife and sister and we had fun making it. I finally purchased a dvx so I look forward to filming and learning. Thanks for the feedback! :)
 
Brian, I enjoyed watching your version of the Jumpers!
How long is your movie? The fart was over done but hey, who am I to tell you about that (;-). As long as you've enjoyed (and learned from the process of) making the movie, that's what counts the most. I am sure after watching your first cut, you learned a lot from your filmmaking process and I am sure you will make even a better movie next time. Now you should focus on upgrading your equipment and think about how would you improve various shots, dialogues, acting, sound, light, color correction, editing, and the list goes on and on. Please take it as part of the learning process, and trust me, we are all in it with you! Now smile!

Thanks for the feedback. I love fimmaking but its very expensive! The teleporting effect was done frame by frame with photoshop since I don't have a full editing suite.
 
I thought the ending was hilarious. The beauty of this is all that power but the only thing the guy does is pop up and fart on people. LOL.

For something just for fun, good attempt. Seems like you had fun doing it. Can't really criticize it as we would other films on this site. Just keep working at it. The effects is decent. Never liked how it looked in jumper. I was always more of a fan of the bamf effect that nightcrawler did in X-men 2.

To tell you the truth, I'm not a big fan of toilet jokes (farting, pissing, pooping) and feel they're easy ways of getting trying to get laughs.

Also, the walking into the wall thing would have been more effective if he jumped a split second before hitting something really bad. Say he's walking, and he jumps no more than an inch away from a metal beam "doing" and he falls back. The way it was done here it didn't look convincing that he hurt himself, and it seemed like there was enough time to stop himself.
 
yea i had alot of other ideas for this little spoof but its hard cuz i hav no crew whatsoever. im the bad actor black guy and my wife and sister helped by shooting it. i just explained to them how to shoot it. if i had a crew of some type...i could do something more serious and profound.
