I saw this at the premier in ohio and why Will Smith was in cleveland..who knows. anyway I have to say that if you don't know anything about it all going in you just won't know what it is about until the very end. Big Willy's performance was spot on and supporting cast were great as well. I don't know if I can say I recommend it though. It was just a odd film to me. Almost made me cry and I am big dude that smells like old spice and eats with his hands. You really just have to see this for yourself.

saw the trailer for this, has me thinking what on earth is he up to and how is he going to change the life of these people especially if he is an IRS agent and what is 7 pounds symbolic of. I have my theories but guess will have to wait till it comes out on cinema over here. You think Will will finally get an oscar for his performance?

I don't know if he will the statue but he does a great job. I will not spoil it for you. But it really kind of makes no sense until the end. And it is VERY VERY Touching.

I've seen the trailer several times now and I still ask myself "what the hell is this movie about?" Although, I'd rather it be mysterious than give away everything months before the film comes out like all the trailers do these days.

Will Smith has been good in all of his recent performances (although I haven't seen Hancock yet). This new film looks intriguing to say the least.

Hancock was terrible IMO. Seven Pounds is much better and much more interesting. The trailer gives away nothing, Hell, the movie gives away nothing until the final scenes. I am really waiting to see some posts on this movie.

I'll be watching this movie this coming weekend. Should I have high hopes for this. I liked Pursuit of Happyness, Hancock - not so much.

I took my wife to see it this weekend and I liked it better the 2nd time. I would say see it. you will hate it or love it. I think the critics are wrong on this one.

I enjoyed the film more then the critic's did, but saw chunks of it coming before hand... but, it was the mystery to the Seven Pounds that got me into the theater.

from a marketing standpoint, the film is genius because you can't really talk about the film until you see it. the whole thing is shrouded in mystery as an attempt to increase box office buzz.

but after 20 minutes, the film becomes predictable and overwrought with soapy, melodramatic tendencies. Rosario comes away looking great but Will Smith oversteps the material. He didn't have to be big Willy in this film but he did and it didn't work.

It's very slow which makes the predictability of the whole, even more excruciating.

The script is paper thin and the reveal of the main character's backstory and its effect on the other cameos is in the final 20 minutes. That might be enough time for some sappy piano track, some hugging/crying, but that's just fake Hollywood emo to me.

HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel had a doc that is similar to this fake film, aired two years ago about an young athlete who died in a car crash and made a similar decision.

But it was more moving because...it actually happened.

No screenwriter, director, or big celebrity can emulate that.

OH...if you do see it, take notice of Will Smith's facial expressions, inside he's saying "I can't act. I can't act. I can't act. Where's the next mothership for me to blow up?"

I thought it was a good love story... they should of never marketed this as some mystery incredible revelation.... that wasn't there, but a good love story was. I liked it.

I enjoyed the film... though it was kind of depressing... it moved slow, but it had to to work...

Will's performance was excellent as always.
