stuck in the snow... in SOCAL!

So... I am up here in Lancaster, CA.... it's snowing, and all the roads are closed... I won't be making it home to Santa Clarita tonight... never thought this would happen in SoCal... who knew...

I love the snow! We are expecting a big ice storm here in KC tomorrow so I'm sure I'll be iced in for a couple days.

I'm in Woodland Hills right now. It is quite cold out there, raw and rainy. No snow . . . yet!

It was 25(F) when I got to school this morning but no snow today. There is still a lot everywhere from Monday's storm. Here is a picture I took out of the window on Monday a couple of hours before they sent us home (a lot more came in that night, too):

It's a good thing we are hip deep in global warming and other cataclysmic temperature skyrocketing, or some folks would have to worry about snow in Southern California, before winter is even really upon us.

Oh, wait . . .

Ha!!

Anyhow, be careful Brandon, your warmer climated folks don't know heads from tails when the white stuff falls.

There was actually snow in Austin at the beginning of this week. School usually gets canceled if there's any chance of precipitation when it's cold, but we weren't lucky enough to have that this time. It's a good sign for the rest of the winter though.

I just picked up 300 pounds of ice melt for the storm we have rolling in this afternoon.
Then there's another storm rolling in the day after tomorrow.
We're at the same snowfall level we were at this time last year which resulted in a 500 year flood from which we are still not even close to recovering from.

I got pics.... went hot tubbing last night in the snow... in Lancaster, CA (Mojave Desert area)... who would have EVER thought... lol.

That's flat out bizarre. You sure there isn't an evil scientist holed up in a nearby cave somewhere with a weather machine plotting to take over the world?

this would be the perfect time to make a short about an evil scientist holed up in a cave with a weather machine  .... and he's cackling maniacally as residents of California walk around with "huh" expressions on their faces! Quick: grab your camera!

I WANT SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!! even if I live in the same parallel as New York (so that you can compare) all the mountain peaks wer full of snow las week but it didn't reach my area.......
I want snow...not that I've never had it....last year we had an impressive one......
I think that the valley were my town is located has some short of microweather and even if all the towns around are fully incomunicated we don't have snow......(well I do have cause I live in a small hill in the outer skirt of the town...)

EDIT: Now that I read this post doens't make any sense.
