Software to edit D90-movies?

[recman]

Hello,
last night I bought the D90. Im really new to movieediting (photoediting with Photoshop have I done for quite a while) and wonder what good software You people can recomend to start with? Is the videoediting part in Photoshop good?
What other softwarepackages is there that is "all-in-one" (so I can do alot of stuff in the same application or suite) for a good price? Where should I start?

Mac or PC?

Oh...sorry! PC, running Windows XP.

[Richard J. Johnson]

Adobe Premiere. Sony Vegas. Edius. I believe all 3 will edit D90 footage.

I'm strictly a Mac guy so I'll leave it to the PC users to advise you.

Blender 3d works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
Has what they call a sequence editor, compositor and imports D90 mjpeg.
I usually use it for 3d animation, but it's has become my replacement NLE.
It's actually really good for being free.

I've had a lot of success with Vegas, a video editing package from Sony. It has fairly decent compositing tools and good audio editing too, although you really have to get dedicated software for those if you want to do anything advanced.
