SGblade Beta Tester Reviews & Feedback’

i have seen tests nikon vs. canon lenses, also nikon lenses put on canon through an adapter and the answer is very clear, nikon is way better. especially corner sharpness. don't remember now exactly which site was that, but you can find on google "nikon lens on canon" or smth like this.

test even included L series canon lenses.

well all i know is that Lseries glass on a FF DSLR is pin sharp corner to corner. Good enough for 13MP sensor... good enough for a 1.5MP sensor...

Lenny has an EX1 so tests will begin with this soon. I am hoping to send Lenny our new flip module (2 samples arrive today, YAY!!) so lets wait for that :)

I would love to see some movement shot with EX1 and Blade, people running, pans, tilts, so far most of the footage has been tripod stuff.

Also would love to know the zoom numbers used with EX1 and Blade if possible :)

you can see some of the tests here:

http://www.16-9.net/lens_tests/nikon1424_17mm/nikon1424_17mm1.html

they test on 1ds mark iii, using their own nikon to canon adapter.

p.s. i'm not trying to say anything, just pointing out what people say...
also here: http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/nikcan.htm

Weird but true, this crazy adapter lets you actuate the diaphragm of G lenses, like Nikon's latest extraordinary 14-24mm, for use on Canon. Used on the Canon 1Ds Mk III , you can get better images than you can from anythign from Nikon

Yes! More test footage! Theres a bunch of people who've had this beauty for at least a week and no footage yet! Get on it! Please! :D

that was just a test comparo on one zoom lens. It would be hard to conclude that all Nikons are better than all Canon lenses. For that, one would have to side by side every lens.
Older manual Nikkor/Nikon lenses were almost impossible to color match whereas new mount Canon FD or EOS lenses have always been color matched. Other than that it is hard to determine good Nikon glass whereas Canon "L" means it will do...
... and, and new mount FD is mechanically solid all over the range whereas Nikon had it's "E" and other series with very different feels/durability to focusing etc.

Anyhoo I've became an armchair racist because of recent Japanese capitalist undevelopments, no matter C or N. Would you dare to cripple your child just because to sell the another, unborn one, or maybe one after that? Shifting paradigms isn't pure positive thing I've leant from Jim.

Well, it's December 18th and so far, no change to the Shoot35 website to allow reservations for the blade. I think it's already mid-day in the UK. Will it happen as promised?

Last I spoke to Wayne, he was still on track for getting the orders system setup. He said 'it has to be up on Thursday' so he is still working on it.

The site is made, just needs turning on I think...

can't wait for the site to be up - either im gonna grab the new blade or any of the R3s that is gonna fill the marketplace.
