San Diego focus group update...

San Diego focus group update...

Just got in from the focus group down in San Diego.

We had about 120 people show up, and it couldn't have gone any better... the response was simply overwhelming! The surveys I looked through were mind blowing! I expected a good response, but this was simply over the top... All that to say, it went REALLY WELL!

man really when is there going to be a focus group in the Bay area, I know quite a few people who would promote it in and out of their churches, we could fill it from all types of people I'd buy a ticket for it

Congrats! Glad it went well man. You gotta tell me all about it if we're able to meet up this weekend. LA here I come, 4hrs and I'm off to the airport! :)

cine-v scene file, stock, no adjustments. nikon primes, 24mm, 35mm (used a lot), 50mm (used a lot), 85mm, 135mm.

Lights; arri tungsten package, I think the biggest tungsten was a 5k, some HMIs; a few 1.2s, 2.5, and a 4k which was used every so often, kinos occasionally in the smaller locations. We had a moderately large package; perfect for this film, usually 2 or 3 grips per day and 2 or 3 electricians as well.

The Numbers....

The Numbers....

Just got the tallies in from the screening on Friday.

We had 108 survey's filled out with an overall enjoyment of the film rating of 8.5.

Not too bad :)

Looking forward to seeing what the next showing holds... tomorrow.

8.5 is good, just looking at the trailer I know i will enjoy it, I have to say I've never been so impressed with an small indi film I think it may turn out better than fireproof and I loved that film. I really hope you're able to pull off a theatrical release before you go to dvd. when it goes to dvd count me in for a buy.

A message from the NGL team

A message from the NGL team

Our San Diego focus group screening was beyond encouraging. There were a few butterflies in the air as this was truly the first group to see a more or less completed version of No Greater Love. We still have to complete the final audio mix as well as finish up the "color correcting," but this is the closest thing to a completed film we have shown. We have had many smaller focus groups and have logged and listened to the comments and critiques which have helped us get the film to this point - but this focus group was a BIG one!

The few of us who worked on the film who were in attendance quietly sat in the back and watched the film with an audience who largely knew nothing about the movie and knew absolutely nothing about us personally. We were also honored to have co-founder and CEO of Carmel Entertainment, Mr. Larry Frenzel, in attendance as well. It was quite humbling to see the audience response. They laughed, cried, and seemed to really track with the emotional roller coaster of the film.

When it was all said and done, we had the 100+ in attendance fill out anonymous detailed surveys and we simply could not be more encouraged by the written responses. Apart from being entertained and emotionally moved, the main theme of the comments focused on the uncompromising message of the film.

We thank you all for your continued prayers, and we thank God for the privilege of serving Him through film.

We have our next, and perhaps final, focus group screening tomorrow (Tuesday) in the northern L.A. area.

We are more confident than ever that He has been directing our steps with NGL, and we sure hope you will continue to spread the word about NGL and invite others to join this facebook group!

Thanks again for all your support,

In His service,

The NGL team
