My wife lost my iPhone.

At least that's the way it's looking at the moment.
Searched the house, the cars and everywhere else I could think of.

Last seen: She took it with her while grocery shopping. She likes using the grocery shopping app on the phone.

I've since gone to every store that she was at that day and checked with their lost and found departments. No dice.

To say I'm a little pissed off would be an understatement. It will cost me about $500.00 to replace, minimum. Not a great time of year for this to happen.

I'll get over it, but it sucks nonetheless.

Things I've heard while checking the lost and found at various stores.

"I would be so pissed if I lost my iPhone."

"What's an iPhone look like?"

"That sucks!"

%#@!$#%!&!$#!

I feel for you...last year, bought my daughter a 'super phone' for her at college...not 2 days after she was back at school, somebody stole it!

She reported it, called it, looked for it, put up fliers, watched the local Craigslist...never to be seen again.

Now it's been a year and we can upgrade her again. I hope she can hold onto this one a little longer than 2 days.

Sorry for your loss...:(

When the Razr first came out my wife bought me one. Three days later it went right in the wash. The thing was so much smaller than my previous phone I never noticed it in my pocket.

I feel for you man.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the support.

I know it's just an object but considering the data plan I have now it will have to be replaced. I might wait until the New Year. I'm going to see if I can dig up an old phone for the interim.

My iPhone is a $20 Virgin Mobile pay as you go phone. Doesn't do anything fancy but I can send and receive calls.

Have you checked the refridgerator? I've left things there before.

Why is it $500 to replace? A new one is $200, isn't it?
Those prices are when you sign on to a plan and they lock you in for x amount of years. That's how they make their money. The iPhone by itself is actually much more expensive outright.

If it broke you would at least still have the sim card with the memory. Now you have to start from scratch :(

Yah. Tried that first thing.

I get....
Quote:
"The customer you are calling is unavailable at the moment."
:(

Well maybe if you weren't so busy looking for it you'd be available to answer your own phone call........

Man that's like throwing money away. Sucks.

To bad you didn't opt for the insurance.:Drogar-Evil(DBG):

That sucks though. My friend lost her iphone at a wedding we attended over the summer. She had turned it off for the ceremony so calling it didn't work. After hours of early morning drunken searching and a day of calling everyone who was at the wedding, it was nowhere to be found. She went back home and two days later it turned up on a table on our friends porch in plain site where no one had thought to look. It cost fifty bucks to overnight it to her.

Moral of the story: Booze + iphone = Drunken, pain in the a** friends waking you up at 3:30 in the morning, after you've been shooting a wedding for 12 hours, making you join a search party for something that you personally could care less about, and being generally belligerent in the process.

Man, that's almost as bad as destroying a brand new 42" Sony TV... :undecided

Actually, not really. There's still hope for you... my TV is basically an 80 pound paperweight.

It's a Christmas miracle!!

My wife found it! The iPhone was wedged behind the laundry hamper in our closet. It has a metal frame surrounding the material bag that holds the clothes. It was behind it, stuck in between the frame and the cloth of the bag.

We figure that she must have thrown her pants on top of it and the phone slipped out of her pocket.

We had checked the hamper and its contents multiple times. I even picked it up to look behind it. Finally, she had moved it out of the way to look in a different spot when she saw it.
