The gift of time...

So every year, my cousin and I wrap each others presents pretty obnoxiously. Most of the time, it's a gift card wrapped in 2 rolls of duct tape that takes about 20 minutes to get into. Well, this has happened for the past 3 or 4 years, but I'm looking for something different. Any ideas? It can't damage whatever is wrapped, either.

Boxes within boxes, each wrapped and sellotaped really tightly. It would takes ages to open and each time he would think he is getting somewhere! Problem is getting the different size boxes and taking the time and paper to wrap them all.

My Dad once did the boxes within boxes thing. In the last box was a potato. It was hollowed out in the middle and the gift was inside it, a fishing lure.

Get a safe and they have to try and crack the code.

But give them hints around the house.

Couple years ago I did this:

Bought presents, then hid them in the house. I'd then takes BOOKS from my room, and slip a piece of paper inside them that says "Look under the TV" or something, and then when they opened there present, they'd get a stupid book right? But they flip though it, and then see the note, to reveal where there actual present is. Kind of childish though, but hey, it's Christmas :)

That'll be harder to do, as we drive 2 hours to see them at their house every year. I wouldn't be able to set it up.
