Guerilla35 Beta: $450!

Super cheap! Selling only because I just sold my dvx.

This thing produces awesome images and is very easy to work with. A great deal, and Jonathan told me it's worth $800 toward a new one, so that's a $350 savings (double check with him to be sure, though...)

Note: You need fast lenses (f2 or faster) or you'll get bad grain and light loss. Does not fill the full 4X3 on the dvx100a/b (16x9 or squeeze only); does not work with original dvx100 due to inferior macro focusing ability. But still awesome. I have sample footage.

I will ship this in its little pelican case. Bonus!

Paypal only! Get it before I decide to keep it...

Everything in this: http://home.comcast.net/~wauhkies/trailer.mov

Except:
•The first shot.
•The scene with the flying plates and glasses.
•The mirror shattering in slow-mo.
•The fight scene on the car.
•The toilet exploding.
•Flying into the atmosphere.
•The shot with the spinning letters.
(These are mostly complex effects shots so I chose to shot them as flat as possible for flexibility in post.)

I will upload more examples later tonight if you'd like. FWIW, I think this is a complete steal for the price; if I had a dvx I would keep it. (You do need a lot of light, though--similar to a mini35.)

It should fit, but in my opinion the grain is a bit too severe for HD. I think this is one of the reasons they took so long developing the final version.

Maybe if you stuck to f1.4 it would be okay, but I'd recommend this adapter for standard-def only. That said, it has the best "bokeh," I've seen--easily surpassing the mini35, etc. so I guess that's the trade-off.

I'll have more clips up tomorrow, if anyone is interested.

off topic: how'd you do the green sparks? Looking frame by frame the reflections in the eyes and the light on his face are perfect!

The adapter has a great look...

Is this a static adapter? Is it nikon mount only? Is the screen permanently affixed or is it possible to mod it with a different screen?

Thanks! Everything here was done in after effects. The main effect is "advanced lightning" and lens blur. I painted the eye reflections (mostly frame-by-frame) and the lighting effects are masked green solids superimposed over the images or keyed out based on color. I used the "screen" and "add" transfer modes. It took a while...

The screen is static and nikon mount only. Everything is epoxied together.

Here's the website for the "final" adapter: http://www.cinemek.com/
