Hi folks, I've been shooting with an EX3 for a couple days on this production and we are formatting cards on the fly in camera while recording on the other card or slot (hard drive attached). I'm wondering if there is any way to do this on the 170, I kind of gave it a half assed glance tonight to see if it was obvious but it doesn't seem like it. if this doesn't exist now is that something that might be changed in a firm ware update (Jan or Barry)?

You have to go to the MCR mode to access the card menu to format (HVX200 talking here, but I've read 170 is the same). Which measn you would have to stop recording.
