Telephoto vignetting ruining shots

After using my HPX170 on a few shorts, and in tests, I've noticed a vignetting on the image using full telephoto.

Anyone have this problem?

I even removed the lens shade and as I zoomed in to 51mm, a very noticeable vignette appears.

I know that at full wide angle with the iris wide open, you will lose 2 stops of light by zooming in to full telephoto on this cam. But that shouldn't create a vignette.

anyone else have this problem?
I'm going to panasonic look at it

Dan,

I think you'll find that your post is more attractive to respond to if you include example photos of what you're experiencing.

Bring some footage into your Editor, take a screen grab, and upload it to DVXUser.

What filters do you have on the front? They make thin filters to avoid such problems, but you can't stack them.
I use a monitor to make sure no vignetting happens, it's something I'm always watching for.
Good luck,
Mike

I think the reason nobody's responding is because this isn't happening to anyone else. There's no vignetting on the unit itself. There is a very small edge falloff, but you're talking about actual vignetting? I've shot plenty of footage on full telephoto and there's definitely no circular vignette encroaching on the edges.
