I Want To Do This....Anyone Else?

until now, i never thought i would ever say that riding on a segway would be more terrifying than doing high speed donuts through an obstacle course in a 500+ horsepower supercharged impreza.

THAT is what you call trust!

Right here! I LOVE driving fast and I have always wanted to get into a super-fast car on an open track. Maybe I can find a nice stretch and open up my T/A (which passed smog on Saturday, by the way...whoo! Registration was completed today).

sweet. have you finished restoring it?

Oh my that would be amazing. I don't know if my sunfire has the minerals however ghhahaha.

However, growing up in Nothern Ontario where the roads are covered in snow more then they arn't, you learn a think or two about driving sideways.

If anyone wants to swing by north Dallas, I'll let you drive my '04 WRX for a buck a minute. It's got an AirHog air filter, so you know it's gotta be juiced up to like 229 hp versus the the stock 227.

Brings back memories.

People told me I was crazy - that I should have sent her to a real school, rather than teach my wife to drive myself.

Finish it? ...did he even start it yet? I keep asking for a picture...some video...anything.

It doesn't actually exist, I just talk about it to sound cool. Kidding. I've posted a picture before! No, Jeff, it isn't finished, but it passed smog and is now registered. I am probably taking it to school Monday to use some free labor in the auto shop and get the doors rehung and new handles installed. After that I will take care of the surface rust and get it primered. Then it will be garaged/driven occasionally until I can afford paint/decals and the interior.

Maybe I should start a thread updating everyone on the progress with pictures and videos. Then we can have a poll of what color I should paint it. :D

What. the. f%$*.

That's stunning... Great job, all involved. I'm curious, where does a person even -go- to learn to drive like that? It seems plausible that the training would be.. if not il-, then extra-legal.

Just razzin you J.R.

It's interesting.

That must be an amazing camera you have because your movie is really good.

That hammer must kick ass because this room addition is is awesome.

Your stove is amazing, this dinner was so great.

Forget the car, that car will be junk in less than a year. That video is all about Ken Block, he is the one with the skills. Some pretty impressive driving.

You had to get it smogged? What year is it? My 67 doesn't need to be smogged. :D

That video gave me goosebumps.

Dominos should contact those guys about making the best super-bowl commercial ever...

Commercial start, corporate meeting, goofy manager (mitchell) makes a pitch... "your pizza delivered in 30 seconds or it's free..."... he waves his hands like he's revealing a banner that says this... as the screen goes wavy (dream sequence)... then cut to various shots of this type of driving... right up to the guy who just ordered the pizza hanging up the phone... *ding-dong* goes the front bell... guy opens door to a smokey front porch as driver extends pizza towards him... screen goes wavy again, return from dream sequence... "30 minutes is pretty fast mitchell" (or something like that)... as they all walk out of the meeting... cut to parking lot... and among the normal cars is one of these with DOMINOS as the license plate.

You have to see the footage of Ken Block in the Subaru punishing the Lambo and the Porshe 911 Turbo during the Gumball Rally down a looong highway, It is crazy. I am at work and can't post the link. That guy can drive.
