Avid and FCP -- do they mix?

Has anyone put Avid Media Composer 3.0 on an Intel Mac already running FCP? Can you have them on the same box, or do they conflict in anyway?

The is for the software-only version on AMC. The system is a full FCP system with Kona LHe hardware.

I have Media Composer 2.8 and FCP 5.0.2 on the same Dual 2.7 Ghz PowerPC G5, and they work fine together.
 
I have Avid 3.0.5 and FCP 6.0.4 on my Powerbook. G4 Powerbook. Nothing major wrong...only incompatibilities with my third party MXF readers due to Avid...but nothing I can't work around.
