Remote follow focus for £150/$300

Ive been doing some cadding and have drawn up the new knob. Its large, standard follow focus wheel size. We think that at purchase you can choose which knob you want. The smaller one will be cheaper. The smaller knob can be replaced with the bigger one at a later date if necessary.

looks amazing, will there be much of a wait on ordering i'd like one asap assuming the price is affordable. Any time-frame on pricing?
 
This sounds very exciting. I actually prefer my AC's when budget affords to be on remote focus all the time. It gets them out of the talent's eyeline and gets them out of the worst place to judge distance - next to the camera. When my AC is off to the side - way off, they find themselves being able to pull more accurately on the fly and with a moving camera.

I hope this unit goes for under 1g. Even at 2g it'll be a deal.

Wow, im glad you could tell that from my drawing. it is the SG knob. It might be a slightly scaled version down of it, but it will be the same deisgn. I like the SGknob, proud to have it stuck on my box.

Tim, it will be under 1G (by this I assume you mean 1000 dollars)

Looks great. Found one mistake.

Dimensions for Receiver:
• 75x135x39mm (without antenna)
• Antenna 130mm long
• AA battery pack will add approx 20mm to thickness
• Weighs 290g (420g with AA battery pack)


Dimensions for Receiver:
• 165x78x65mm (small knob)
• 165x91x95mm (large knob)
• Antenna 130mm long
• Weighs 400g (650g with large knob)

I believe the second header should be Dimensions for Transmitter?
 
If you haven't already HOARP001 can you post ACTUAL VIDEO of it being used. VIDEO of YOU using it and VIDEO of the image captured. Forgive me if you've posted this in this thread already. I haven't looked through all 56 pages. Thanks.

He's posted a few preliminary youtube vids of early units in action but I'm sure we'll see something more comprehensive once it's all firmed up.
 
Hey, I also don't feel like going though all 57 other pages, when is the tentative availability date as it stands now?
 
We are looking to start shipping mid january. Ive just been sorting out the work area where they will be assembled. Got a leak in my airlines :-(
 
can we at least get pricing before Christmas? Our wives/significant others have been rolling their collective eyes at all of us during the year about our excitement over the Hofo. An actual price point would be great to give...
