I believe it takes 8-10 weeks for the check.

Any idea if the Sandisk or the Sony SxS cards are coming down in price since most people are starting to use the Kengsinton/SDCH cards?

No word yet on price decrease yet. I know that Sandisk is on back ordered on the 16GBs until January-February. We do have in-stock and give incredible prices on SxS cards with the purchase of the camera. We know how expensive those cards are. We would promote the KxS, but we can't give support.

I know JVC is releasing the SxS support Unit for their cameras in January, JVC will be needing SxS cards as well. In my opinion, I don't think they will be dropping prices anytime soon unless P2s drop in price.

I appreciate your position prevents you from actively supporting KxS to customers (I am sure Sony woldn't like that), but you wouldn't happen to have any KxS to test in the Sony SxS deck or the JVC SxS dock when it comes in? Just to see if it is recognised.

We have yet to try the KxS here at ECPV. I'll look into it. But I think Sony & JVC knows about the KxS by now, which means JVC would most likely make their units support Sandisk / Sony Cards only. But it doesn't hurt to try =).

EC Junior,

I know that you guys give excellent prices. That is why I purchased my EX3 and the (2) Sandisk SxS 16Gb from your company 3 months ago. I probably just need one more 16gb but, I am hoping they will go at least 1/2 the price by January.

I told my friends that when they are ready to purchase their EX3 to purchase it from your company.

I'm about to pull the trigger and order 2 Sony EX3's from Junior. Big props to Junior and EC ProVid. They have been great to work with, without the typical NYC/Brooklyn "Hustle". Knowlagable, courteous, professional are words I would use to describe my experience with Junior and EC ProVid.

That said..... This new Sony referral program..... Here is my proposal.....

I will split the $100 with you. You refer me.... I turn your name in.... Sony pays you $100.... You paypal me $50......

Please read all the rules and be 100% sure you meet all the criteria, PM me the needed info and Boom $50 is yours!

Thanks frisco

What will be interesting is if the JVC unit supports the Sony SxS Hard drive (which means the USB interface is enabled), but doesn't work with KxS. If it doesn't work with the HDD it doesn't mean much about KxS and it just is like the EX1 before 1.11, but if the HDD works but KxS isn't recognised then that is likely a deliberate measure to counter the use of affordable memory media which would not be suprising (from a corporate stance) but would be very dissapointing given the way Sony marketed this media when it was first announced...

I doubt Sony's focus is on overcoming KxS. I'm sure there's more attention on the XDR, NanoFlash and Cineform. This is really going to get interesting over the next year or so.

Also, I'm sure a lot attention is on the RED Scarlet.

Also, I'm sure a lot attention is on the RED Scarlet.

Now there is a case of rediculas hype over vaporware, There is nothing anyone knows about Scarlet at the moment. I'll save any excitement I have unit it is actually shipping because even the details we'll see in a day or two will have the usual RED 'subject to change' so you really won't know what you will end up with.

New Scarlet specs. out tomorrow. Will it totally change the playing field today as we know it? There's always something new on the horizon.
JVC HD250 implementation of Sony's SxS is terrific but at the end of the day it's still a 1/3" chip camera.
