Canon user thread - post your pictures here

Someone should start a thread where we post the straight out of the camera shot and everyone has a go at it. I think people enjoy processing other people's shots, I know I do. Sbryan gave me acces to the original raw file, and it's a great shot, much more detailed than the web compression shows. 5D files have a lot of pixels.:)

Was that picture with the kid payless?

if it is i spent many a saturday morning in there with my mom when i was that age.....

Yes, twins.^^

Actually I was asking because of the differences in processing. Concerning that which one do you like better?

I see what you were trying to do....... I think you just may be afraid of the dark.....

Seems to me you didn't help the photo..... The original lighting on the girl standing "seems" to have a slimmer face. When you opened up the dark side you gave her a very large round face.

There are many lighting techniques to control face/body shape.

hey guys when you do the Re touch samples, which are very cool, please do so in another thread. When you get it started up i will move the posts. This thread is more of a gallery of photos from individual photographers.

Thanks.

EDIT: I made a thread for you guys.... enjoy.

Thanks for the input frisco! I see what you mean about the lighting on the face. It did make her face larger. I didn't even notice that! It would be great if you can share some lighting techniques like you mentioned!:)

WoW... the moon on that last one is crazy. Perfect exposure on it.

YES!!!! Caught you! :D

I spent quite a bit of time trying to make it as close to believable as possible... I thought the lights being blown out would sell it too, but I took a separate picture and PS'ed it for a while trying to make it feel like it might be real while retaining some of the craters...

It was a 15 second exposure and a 1/60th exposure for the moon, both at ISO 80. I also made the moon a bit bigger and added a bit more flare and glow around it.

you made my day.... though I bet you looked at it real quick but you still made my day :)
