It looks like the site is down for now. Shameless plug or not, he's still giving away something he worked hard on for free, so props for that. I always eat the free samples in the supermarket even though they're trying to sell me something...

Edit: site's back up; must have been my browser.

Someone did this same thing last year i seem to remember. It was a tutorial site where all the tutorials were obviously recorded as the user followed along with all of Andrew Kramer's tutorials. He then packed the margins with ads and hawked it on here and the cow. I seem to remember he was called out on it and it quickly disappeared.

Andrew does read and post in this forum occasionally.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?

Exactly. The tutorial realm for after effects is all Andrew Kramer. He easily has a monopoly over it. Not like it's a bad thing. The man is amazing. Great tutorials. Easy to watch. Easy to listen to. And great products at a good price.

It's hard to make tutorials for After Effects now. While tutorial making is very difficult. (I've done a few. Always seems like if there is going to be a problem with the tutorial it happens in the final moments). It is also very rewarding.

However, this is a case where someone clearly went to Kramer's site. Watched the tutorials. And thought he could re-design them and re-present them as his own. But the rendition is poorly done and the final product is nearly laughable.

For AE. Stick to Kramer.

Andrew Kramer is good, but he shares the realm, my favourite AE tuts are from:

Andrew Kramer
Eran Stern
Aharon Rabinowitz
Maltaannon (Jerzy Drozda Jr)

I have to agree with this though!
