Copying clips in camera? how?

I thought I remembered there was a function to copy a SxS card to the SxS HDD using the in camera menus.

On my EX1 1.11 I can find a copy clip function, but I can't find a copy card function. This is in media mode.

Is there such a thing as copy card? perhaps you have to have the HDD connected to see it?

GuyB, It's there, you can copy named clips only from slot to slot memory chips in the camera. Look in your Manual that came with the camera! I've done it.-- Carl
 
Hi Carl, I know you can copy clips from one card to another (you can copy any clip from one card to another, read the origonal post!), however the 60GB HDD came out after my camera and I remember one of the advertised new capabilities of owning this unit was the ability to back up a SxS card to the HDD to clear the SxS for re-use. Therefore that will not be in the manual that came with the camera and for EX1 users would be a new feature only avaliable with v1.11! So I don't think there was any need to be so smug an unhelpful with the RTFM comment which was uncalled for...

Can anyone who owns the 60GB HDD actually provide some relevant comments?
 
GuyB, I wasn't being smug, GuyB, I'm not that kind of guy. I just read your post quickly and thaught you wanted to copy SxS to SxS memory cards not clips to HDD and I could not remember the menu to access "copy" to SxS memory cards, so I suggested that you look it up in the manual because I could not get to a manual myself. -- Carl
