P2 cards record half the footage they should

We're only getting around 17 minutes per card. This happened fairly suddenly and we've been looking at all the settings and can't find anything different. Has anybody had a similar issue?
 
blindhound, you dont say what recording format youre comparing. But If youre recording in pn mode, you can get a lot more on there, so maybe you have switched out of a pn mode?

If you're otherwise used to shooting 720p/24 and getting about 42 minutes on a 16 GB card, then you've probably inadvertently set the camera for 720pa instead of 720pn. The "n" setting ('native') is what gives you the longer record time, and it's the only HD setting that does (aside from 30pn). It only records the required 24 frames, where all others record 60 and rely on external devices like NLEs to discard the extra frames.
