Getting The Highest Resoultion Footage From FCP

I'm wondering how to obtain the highest quality footage after it has already been logged into FCP. I shot the footage on a Sony HDR-FX1 and logged it into FCP using the dv ntsc 48khz anamorphic preset ......In order to get the highest resoultion most untainted footage how should I get it?.... It can be as large as possible as long as its the highest quality. Can I just pick out the raw quicktime file from the capture scratch folder or do i have to export it from FCP with some special codec or compression?
 
Well first of all, the FX-1 is an HDV camera. Did you shoot in HDV or DV format?

If you shot in HDV but captured in DV then you lost resolution on your capture.
 
Ok so then after I have imported into FCP if i want the rawest highest resoultion clip.....just the clip.....can I just pull it out of the capture scratch folder and use it in its QT format? Im trying to send select clips to an editor on a dvd data cd
