Well, this is very exciting for me...my first post in the HVX section! woot.
Ok, moving on. We shot all this in about two days(not including hours after midnight) in my old high school. They have one of the best theater programs in the south-east and the department director owed me a favor--so I thought it would make for a great sound stage location. We shot on the HVX stock lens and used a firestore. I must say I am very excited about the footage, but not so much with the firestore work flow. It seems to me that things would just have been much simpler working on P2 alone. Especially since we are still having lots of headaches trying to get all our 60p footage to play back correctly. We are cutting the final render in FCP on a quad-core G5. But still doing lots of compositing and animation sequences on a PC. Below are a few grabs straight from the camera--no CC or anything.
The song is by DGN, it's their debut video and mine as well. There were alot of shots I was not completely satisfied with but under the deadline we had and all the volunteer crew with no experience--I think we did O.K.. We really need a ton of criticism on this one guys! Bring your worst! Thanks you guys in advanced. Our audio op. took some photos on set and made a bit of a slideshow. You can view here if you like...
I hope to have the finished product out by spring break!
