It has a blue sky, that's about it. I'll try color correcting when I have some spare time, but this is the RAW image. I wish I had known how to setup bracketing when I took this photo. There's no house left so it can't be redone.

I played a little with this one if you don´t mind. I like the picture although it lacks sharpness - you said because of the compression?

Rick, I try to follow a certain style, so I don´t think about whether more or less color fits the picture better. It´s just a question of taste and style in my opinion.
Anyway :dankk2:.

I have a sharper photo. I must have been using center focus that day as the house is fairly sharp but the debris to the right is not, and same for the fallen tree to the left.

Where should I upload this new file to?

A couple of things for lessons learned:

1) There's a harsh afternoon shadow on the house.
2) This would have been a good photo to use HDR on.
3) Should have used more than the center focal point.

I like the house pic, but it is a bit soft. Could be because of any number of reasons, shutter speed, Fstop, etc. I'd love to take a crack at processing the original file. It'll be interesting to see PT, Rick, and myself come up with three different versions. I'm thinking a cross process will look good with this one. Hook us up. :)

Messing with the saturation. Upload in process. Sorry, my DSL connection in France suuuuucks. In messing with the image, the previous version was overwritten in my gallery, fyi.

jesus. I havent even downloaded the photo but I don't know if I even want to...Sack...LOVE that post processing. Seriously. Looks beautiful. I'll give it a go...brb...

Rick you are wrong about Sack coming to the dark side, he came FROM the dark side

Here's my go at sbryan's photo.

Someone should start a thread where we post the straight out of the camera shot and everyone has a go at it. I think people enjoy processing other people's shots, I know I do. Sbryan gave me acces to the original raw file, and it's a great shot, much more detailed than the web compression shows. 5D files have a lot of pixels.:)

Sorry to break up all the dilapidated homes but I wanted to share the following pic. Feel free to continue with the house if anyone else has other versions.

I know flowers are easy to photograph because they always look good. But I took this pic this morning and wanted to share the colors.
