Help with Nudity in a Sex Scene

In my upcoming film I have, they're is a sex scene, were we show my actor and actress in the nude. We show my actor's bare bottom, and I was wondering what techniques I could use so his penis is not exposed on set. I don't know is there like a men's g string or something, lol. A jock strip. Any suggestions cuz, jokes are welcome also, lol.
 
according to an interview when Kate Beckinsale was on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, she was saying that during sex scenes like that, there is a thing called a "c**k sock" the actor wears.

Only reason I remember that is because she used the term "c**k sock" like five times, and it had Conan in stitches.
 
Get a Eunich for the male role? As for a serious answer, use a skin colored pair of tights, almost like pantyhose without the hose. They showed one of Leslie Nielson's scenes from one of those comedies, and that is what he's wearing.
 
Have you asked the actor, he may be totaly comfortable to do it totaly starkers, no point buying bobble hats for him to wear if he dosnt mind doing it in the nude anyway.

Failing that, im pretty sure some well placed gaffatape would do the job...
 
First of all I would like to see you all are sofa king hilarious. Secondly, he didn't feel comfortble being totally nude because he may not be able to i guess control his urges if you follow me drift. (I mean he's not denzel washington or anything,lol) Plus he had a bad nude experience before, dont ask, lol. I'm going to run it by him and we'll figure a๘ couple of these suggestions out. Other than that, say c()<k sock 5 times fast, or find a way to use it in a sentence 3 times.

I'm sure there some initial 'shock' effect, and perhaps every one on set should be 'cool' with such a response on the part of the actor in question, especially the actress who shares the scene... to me, a cocksock would not offer much resistance to any 'turgidity' on the part of the actor... and would perhaps even lend to further embarrasment on his part...

However, as most people find when visiting a clothing optional or nudist camp-facility, once that initial shock is over, the men usually do not display any indication of continual arousal.

To me the more important thing about a cocksock is to avoid any unfortunate shot where you may have to cut, or cut away, from an otherwise great shot, because, unless you are going to only show in international, in particular european international venues, such a glimps, no matter how short, will cause more ruckus than Janet Jackson's 'Costume Malfunction'...

I except european venues because I have seen films out of Europe which have been screened in various fests there, which do have an occasional penis in view shot. But on all occasions the thing is so flacid as to break the viewer's willing suspension of disbelieve (yeah, if they're so into each other, why he limper than boiled celery...)

But outside of Europe, many, many countries are even more prudish, and sexually repressive than can even be imagined, even by Southern Baptists... like at the moment SBClers can pretty much only condemn and file perhaps a couple of court actions... in other countries it could be jail time for showing, viewing, or distributing... or worse... stoning for Friday afternoon entertainment.

There are of course other liberal international regions... but one does have to make sure...
 
an actor on my short film used a cock sock for a nude scene and it worked great. he literally taped a sock around his junk. it was not a love scene but regardless it worked for nudity! this guy was pretty willing to go in the buff so it was easy for him. but it was easier for us he wore the sock, lol.

That intimidating...

One of the 'tivia' from IMDB notes that on "Starship Troopers", is that the actors, actresses, Director Verhoeven, and the Cinematogrpaher Josh Vacano, were nude during the co-ed shower scene... allegedly as a dare from Dina Meyer, one of the actresses...

In the special features Verhoeven said that the guys kept getting excited and distracted and Verhoeven said that if they didn't cut it out he would strip too. So he did and everyone was all 'please put your clothes back on'.

I've got a buddy who was just on Sarah Conner Chronicles and he got to wear one.

Always be willing to give crew the boot out of the room if you feel like it's affecting the performance.
 
On IMDB that's called a bit part! Couldn't resist. Make sure he doesn't use any cialis or whatever the 4-hour miracle drug is called.

I would really work the shot list on this scene...do the long shots (no pun intended) first and then use MS/CU's (clothing optional) and clear the set of most people...if anyone has a problem. Often times it's people other than the cast that have problems with these shots. Tough to focus for the script supervisor...LOL!
 
At least if he were aroused you wouldn't have to worry about seeing the penis on the behind shots...
 
- make sure the set is closed, only the people who are essential should be there.

- makes sure your DP gets the lighting right (no adjusting while the people are naked)

- provide some bath robes for the actors and make sure they come in to the set early on (still in their bathrobe) so they get accustomed to partial nudity (since they are naked underneath) with the crowd

- explain the shots to them so they know if they are in for a long time or a quicky

- keep light but professional atmosphere on the set

- rethink the purpose of the scene. In Antonioni's "Passenger" there is a scene where two relative strangers arrive to a hotel then it cuts to a wide shot of them naked on the bed AFTER sex seen through the window. The shot is wide so we can see that they are naked but we can't really see that much. So much better solution then showing them shagging.

- asian couple (full nudity)
- gay couple (full nudity - oh god, my eyes!)
- an orgy (partial nudity)
- 2 music videos with partial nudity
