I know that it is not a good habit to capture footage with my DVX mainly because it only wears the heads out faster. I used to use my old Sony TRV900 for capturing but recently it started jamming and I don't want to take any chances with important footage (like weddings and stuff that if it is lost then what?!?!?!) So what is a cheap piece o' sh*it camera that uses mini DV and can capture through firewire? To my knowledge there is no difference in image quality, when capturing, between the heads of the DVX or a CPOS (cheap piece o' sh*it) camera. So what is the cheapest? What do you guys use?
