Bride and groom

Well, a bride ending up in a pool is about as cliche' as it comes. The groom and his best man aren't wearing tuxes. The bridesmaids don't look particularly surprised or concerned; nor does the bride, for that matter. The "Oh my gods" sound awfully forced.

True, I don't know for sure, but it doesn't pass my BS test.

The reactions look sincere to me. Most people don't react quickly to things like this. But the tripping looks less than kosher. Of course, I got the impression that the best man was looking at the maid of honor with a "yeah, check me out kind of look", which would have been the ultimate irony.

Well. The groom does go for the guy who trips first and then changes when the bride goes in. I think if it were staged he would have not gone for the guy first. It seems like one of those details that would have gotten over looked if it were fake.

I vote fake, its the camera work that gives this away. Most times, when you watch true life footage and something out of the ordinary happens, there is a moment where the person photographing forgets he is filming. Overcome by the event the shooter wants to actually see what has happened not watch it through the limited field of view of a lens and the camera points to the ground or in an odd direction. It's human nature unless you are a real pro and this is set up as a guest shooting some handheld video, not a pro. Here it stays with the action a little too well. The "oh my God" that is repeated sounds like bad acting as well to me.

Regardless of if its fake or not, its funny. The situation would be hilarious if it were staged or real. Everybody's gotta turn funny into something analyzed and picked apart.

Sorry... staged as hell.

Pointless location... videographer in photog prime location (no videographer gets priority over photog... not when the video quality is that bad)... staged.

Still not convinced? Why'd they fall in? The guy only gets close to them... he falls and doesn't hit anybody? When's the last time you jumped backwards when somebody is falling in front of you? If anything you'd try to catch them or help them up... moving in, not away.

Finally... both Bride and Dude turn in to look where they're going... they move into the pool as they're falling in... which isn't "hey I lost my balance" it's more like "hey I'm not going to risk hitting my head over this stupid video"...

Too good to be true.

Why would the event planners setup a wedding stage directly above a swimming pool with no railing? Because it's fake.

Why would the bride stand near the edge of the stage (which is above a swimming pool with no railing)? Because it's fake.

Why is the camera not on a tripod? Because it's fake and they plan on walking around to show the bride in the pool.

The video feels like it's setting up something to happen and it does. The conditions were just right for this incident and for it to be recorded perfectly. i.e. Staged.

If the bride fakes it during the wedding, that probably doesn't bode well for the wedding night. Ba-da-bing ba-da-boom!! :)
