should i be editing in 1440x1080 or 720x480 for DVD?

can't seem to find a clear answer, but i'f i'm editing HDV 1440x1080 video in my NLE from my canon A1, should i keep it at full size during editing and let it downsize automatically when i author DVD, or should i resize to 720x480 to edit because it's going on a DVD anyway? if i need to resize, at what point should i be doing so?

any advice would be treasured.

Hi,

Edit at full resolution. Resample for DVD for best quality.
