Worked up some costumes for our lead actors. We're trying to get away from the more traditional 'bad guys in black' look since that really wasn't period - especially for outlaws who couldn't necessarily afford to purchase matching garments. We're still fine tuning the looks but they look great so far. Some pics...
Had a special FX and prop meeting today. We went over storyboards and planned out our blood & bullets for the shootouts. We're keeping it simple - for obvious reasons - but it's going to cut together nice. Our prop guy brought over the chest, which he hand-made from an old military footlocker, and it looks fantastic (see pics). This guy has a lot of talent so if anyone in the So Cal area needs some props or fx work for their projects, let me know and I'll get his contact info for you. As for the rest, we found the locks online for super cheap and the chain is from Lowe's. Days like this REALLY help you get in the mood to shoot. Only 2 weeks of prep left before we get out there and make us a western. We'll keep you updated!
Filming starts this weekend, we can't wait. We have an amazing cast and very professional crew to make this an amazing film. We'll keep you all posted.
Ack, it looks like my schedule isn't going to work out with helping you guys. Oh well... have a great shoot and a great time! Everything you've shown here looks terrific.
