sorry about that

Hey guys, started my first diy project with this merlin like stablizer, pics below.
the concept is completely K-fleung's on vimeo you can see his video here
http://vimeo.com/1285705
im surprised i did a search on this on this forum and it didnt show up any results. i found this on the hv20 forums.

currently im debating what other methods/thing i should use to attach my camera onto the stablizer. i just have a 1/4 size machine bolt right now and some thing that i took off the cheap tripod (which is the gimble to this device) to keep my camera secure but the machine bolt may turn in its place sometime, and its not the quickest way to get the camera on and off. i mgiht invest in a cheap quick release tripod plate, but was wondering what other ideas you guys might have.

I dont have any machining tools so this was great for me as the items were all off the shelf ready.
If anyone cares to venture the parts:
the main dual pivot flash bracket (opteka found on amazon 30 bucks)
sunpack tabletop tripot (bh 7 dollars)
a piece of PVC pipe holder (lowes - 50cents)
gear shift knob as counterweight (free had laying around)
misc bolts/washers (~ 1 dollar, few cents)

You can adjust the counter weight left right up or down which is great, i have shot any test footage yet, but looking through the lcd, looks good. K-Fleung on his vimeo has some test footage and it looks great for a 40 dollar stablizer.

The camera i have on it is the canon hv30, i just sold my dvx so i cant test it out with a heavier camera.

Link to them rather than displaying them in the post...

Take the link and paste them into the box that comes up when you click the link button (little world with a chain link under it)
